The Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation will host its fifth annual “Excellence in Education” Banquet on Saturday, April 25th, at Elm Street Grill, celebrating the achievements of educators, staff, alumni, and supporters who help strengthen education in the Shenandoah community.

The annual event recognizes individuals who make a lasting impact on local schools and students. During the evening, the Foundation will present its Alumni of the Year award, honor outstanding teachers and staff, and highlight the important work being done to support educational opportunities in Shenandoah.

This year’s Alumni of the Year awards will go to Chuck Offenburger (Class of 1968) and Roger Scarbrough (Class of 1970). Both alumni have made a significant impact through their professional accomplishments and have made their hometown of Shenandoah proud.

Guests will also enjoy special entertainment by Shenandoah High School music students, along with a buffet style meal from Elm Street Grill and will be assisted by the Shenandoah FFA students.

“This banquet is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the people who make Shenandoah schools exceptional,” said President Julie O’Hara of the Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation. “From inspiring teachers to dedicated staff and accomplished alumni, this event recognizes the many individuals who contribute to making our school great.”

Tickets are $35 each and are now on sale. To purchase your tickets online go to: https://givebutter.com/5thSIEFbanquet or to reserve your tickets and pay at the door email us at: sheniaeducationfoundation@gmail.com
