$100,000 pledged for Gladys Wirsig-Jones Auditorium’s Seating Replacement Project

The Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation (SIEF) is thrilled to announce a $100,000 pledge towards the Gladys Wirsig-Jones Auditorium’s Seating Replacement Project. The initiative will be the final act in a multi-year renovation project, ensuring a vibrant future for this important community space. Join SIEF in supporting the project by donating to the auditorium seating replacement.

Since the auditorium was built in 1986, the nearly 40 year old building has recently seen updates to the lights, sound system and curtains. Replacing the seats will be the final piece of updates to the space that is used for musicals, concerts, school events, community activities and more!

We believe that every contribution, big or small, holds the power to make a difference. Together, we can bring the community together, one seat at a time.

Individual, Businesses, or Family Donation Options:

  • Donate a seat(s): Have your name or a loved one's name inscribed on a plaque for lasting recognition. Each seat cost $300.

  • Fixed amount: Contribute any amount that fits your budget.

The Gladys Wirsig-Jones Auditorium has been and will be the stage for past and future memorable community events. Let’s join together to honor the past by seating the future. Visit our website at to learn more and donate online.  Or, feel free to mail your donation to PO Box 351, Shenandoah, IA 51601
