The district wide signage project, that the Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation announced it was funding back in March, has come to a completion. The new signage focused on enhancing school pride and reinforcing the district’s identity.
New and modern signage has been installed at key locations throughout the school district, which includes entrances at all three buildings, along with an eye-catching monument sign.

“I think what you’ll notice most is the updated and consistent look as you drive around the district. The foundation is very proud to support this project especially as we welcome many new visitors to our district as we enter the WIC (Western Iowa Conference),” said foundation president Julie O’Hara.
The project cost was just over $46,000 and is the second largest project SIEF has committed to. Their first large scale project was the $100,000 pledge they made for new seats in the Gladys-Wirsig Jones Auditorium.
“We are so thankful for every donor that made this possible. Donations both large and small make projects like this happen. The foundation just celebrated its ten year anniversary and I’m excited to see what other projects the foundation can support in the future! ” added O’Hara.
